2. Data We Collect

We collect minimal data, only what is necessary for the website to function and to prevent abuse.
Automatically collected (server logs)
Our hosting provider (Hostinger) records standard server logs including IP address, browser type (user agent), referring URL, requested pages, and timestamps. These logs are kept for security and troubleshooting purposes.
Anonymized data for popularity tracking
To prevent spam in our font popularity ranking, we generate a one-way hashed identifier from your IP address combined with your browser user agent. This hash cannot be reversed to identify you. It is stored temporarily (12 hours) and used only to prevent the same visitor from inflating popularity counts.
Locally stored data (your browser)
Your favorite fonts are saved in your browser’s localStorage. This data never leaves your device and we have no access to it. You can clear it at any time via your browser settings.
Analytics data (with your consent)
If you consent to “Statistics” cookies via our cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to collect anonymized usage data: page views, session duration, country, device type, referring source. IP addresses are anonymized by Google before storage. We do not use this data for advertising or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
